KAEFER Shipbuilding Contracting Becomes FRANCU Romania
KAEFER Shipbuilding Contracting SRL, a subsidiary of the German KAEFER Group in Romania, has been fully acquired by businessman Cătălin Francu, being a Partner and Managing Director since its establishment in 2009. As a result of the transaction completed on October 12, 2023, Cătălin Frâncu has become the sole business owner, which will continue its operations under the name Francu Romania SRL. The decision was made to support the future development vision of the business and Cătălin Frâncu's ambition regarding the role of the company in the marine and energy industries, both locally and internationally. This legal change does not affect ongoing commitments and operations; FRANCU Romania will maintain its existing structure and capabilities. Furthermore, as a testament to the strong relationship and successful partnership with the German group it was a part of, the company will be referred to as preferred supplier and continue to execute projects alongside KAEFER.

Its services portfolio includes design and engineering, insulation, interior outfitting, floor applications, passive fire protection, stainless steel kitchens, and scaffolding, having an international presence with successful projects completed in Romania, France, Germany, Qatar, Japan, the Netherlands, Finland.
